Vietnam Airlines conquers French market

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has recorded a sound economic growth in France despite a fierce competition with numerous regional and international airlines, said Nguyen Quoc Phuong, Director of the carrier’s representative office in France and Europe.

Paris (VNA) – National flag carrier VietnamAirlines has recorded a sound economic growth in France despite a fiercecompetition with numerous regional and international airlines, said NguyenQuoc Phuong, Director of the carrier’s representative office in France andEurope.

At a customers and agents meeting on December 19 in Paris, Phuong reported thatVietnam Airlines’ revenue in France has increased by 10 percent against lastyear, in which business class turnover upped 20 percent.

The carrier’s flights from Franceto Vietnam made up 54 percent of the market share, posting a year-on-yearincrease of 1 percent, Phuong said.

He also noted that the nationalflagship will continue use Airbus A305 on Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City – Paris routes,adding that the modern planes and service improvement have helped VietnamAirlines meet requirement of passengers and gain a SkyTrax’s four-star airlinestitle.

Vietnam Airlines is always thefirst choice of Vietnamese living in France and French customers, saidrepresentatives from many agents.

It has made a record of transporting over 20 million passengers in 2016.-VNA

Search volume for Vietnam’s tourism ranks 7th globally

The top 10 most searched Vietnamese destinations were Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Hue. Notably, Vung Tau and Ninh Binh recorded the highest growth in search volume with over 75%.
