Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines announced it will halt more flights to and from Taiwan (China) on July 8 and 9 to ensure passenger safety against super typhoon Nepartak.

On July 8, four more flights travelling between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Taiwan’s Taipei and two flights between the two cities and Kaohsiung are set to be cancelled. The figure brings the total flights cancelled on the day to 12.

On July 9, the carrier will not conduct three flights – VN579 (Taipei - Hanoi), VN571 (Taipei-HCM City) and VN581 (Kaohsiung-HCM City).

From July 10, flights between Vietnam and Taiwan will be resumed, with eight additional flights operating to serve passengers affected by cancellations made on July 7 and 8.
