Vietnam Airlines safely transports 1.5 million vaccine doses from Japan

A batch of 1.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine provided by Japan to Vietnam was transported safely from Tokyo to Hanoi by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Hanoi, (VNA) – A batch of 1.5 million doses ofCOVID-19 vaccine provided by Japan to Vietnam was transported safely from Tokyoto Hanoi by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Thevaccines were transported on a wide-body Boeing 787. After landing, thevaccines were quickly handed over to medical authorities to serve pandemicprevention work.

Japan is one of the top important destinations in Asia ofVietnam Airlines. During the pandemic, the carrier has made efforts to maintain the Japan route to carry citizens, experts, workers and students, as well ascargos.

At present, Vietnam Airlines operates direct flights from Hanoi to Tokyo everyThursday and Sunday, and from Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo every Tuesday.
The airline is also getting prepared to transport internationalpassengers from Tokyo to Vietnam after receiving approval from managementauthorities./.
