Vietnam attends national congress of Tanzania’s ruling Party

Vietnam's attendance at the national congress of Tanzania's ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) was a testament to the close cooperation between the two countries, and an opportunity to promote their practical cooperation projects in the fields of infrastructure development, education, digital transformation and youth capacity building - Tanzania's top development priorities in the new term.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen has attended the national congress of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in the African country.

As an important representative, her presence at the May 29-30 event demonstrated Vietnam's support and deep interest in Tanzania's political and economic development processes. It was a testament to the close cooperation between the two countries, and an opportunity to promote their practical cooperation projects in the fields of infrastructure development, education, digital transformation and youth capacity building - Tanzania's top development priorities in the new term.

The congress saw with the participation of more than 2,000 domestic delegates and nearly 700 international guests. It was an important step in CCM's preparation for the general election scheduled for October 28 and at the same time, orienting national development in the 2025–2030 period.

The congress adopted the 2025–2030 election manifesto, focused on issues of sustainable development, good governance, digital transformation and key issues such as national unity, youth employment, inclusive development and reviewed the country’s Constitution./.
