Vietnam exerts effort to attain gender equality goals
Vietnam is considered by international organisations to be one of the most succesful countries in ensuring gender equality and narrowing the gender gap.
Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu has received Elisa Fernandez Saenz, head of office at the UN Women in Vietnam, to discuss potential cooperation in the coming time.
Vietnam is paying more and more attention to institutionalising gender equality and women empowerment, said Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh at a plenary session of the second Eurasian Women’s Forum in Saint Petersburg of Russia on September 20.
The National Assembly of Vietnam always pays special attention to issues related to gender equality and women’s development and is willing to cooperate with other ASEAN member nations in this field, said NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
