Hanoi (VNA) – Francewants to share its experience in administrative reform with Vietnam, especially in assessingpublic policies, applying digital tools in administrative reform, and draftingand implementing laws relating to territorial planning, said French Ambassadorto Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary.
The diplomat madethe remarks at a symposium on administrative reform jointly held by the Ho ChiMinh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), the French Embassy, and France’sNational School of Administration.
Vietnam andFrance share similar difficulties in administrative reform, as well as strongcommitments and resolve to reform administrative processes, he said, notingthat their bilateral cooperation in this field is expected to be expanded inthe time ahead.
Nguyen Duy Bac, DeputyDirector of HCMA, said the Vietnamese Party and State have consideredadministrative reform as central to the renovation of the State apparatus.
The VietnameseGovernment has also paid due attention to administrative reform to build a governmentthat works to serve its people and businesses, he said, noting that France’s experience in administrative reformwill provide valuable lessons for Vietnam.
Echoing Bac’sviews, Nguyen Minh Phuong, Deputy Rector of the Hanoi University of HomeAffairs, said the Government has set forth many new and innovative solutions inmanagement and issued programmes and resolutions on administrative reform.
The participantsfocused on issues including subjects for administrative reform, IT applicationin administrative reform, administrative reform methods, and challenges to thework.
At the symposium,the French side introduced France’s2022 plan on public administrative transparency. –VNA
