Vietnam helps Laos to upgrade politics academy

A ground-breaking ceremony for the Lao National Academy for Politics and Public Administration (LNA) project was held in Laos capital city of Vientiane on December 9.
A ground-breaking ceremony for the Lao National Academy for Politics and Public Administration (LNA) project was held in Laos capital city of Vientiane on December 9.

The project is being jointly carried out by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (HCMA) and the LNA.

The building is being built on an area of 2,020 sq.m at a total cost of 104 billion VND, from non-refundable aid provided by the Vietnamese government.

Following the ceremony, Saman Vignaketh, a Politburo member of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee (LPRPCC) in charge of the LPRPCC’s political ideology and cultural affairs, received Le Huu Nghia, a member of Vietnamese Communist Party’s Central Committee and Director of the HCMA .

Nghia said he believed that the project will be finished on schedule and be high quality.

Saman Vignaketh confirmed that both countries must be responsible for educating the young to foster closer ties between Laos and Vietnam./.
