On show are handicraft productsincluding lacquer paintings, palm-leaf conical hats, the traditionallong dresses worn by Vietnamese women and films about Vietnam andits people.

When addressing the opening ceremony onMay 12, the city’s Mayor, Marcelo Ebrand, said that the annual eventhighlights people’s socio-cultural lives, adding that it also promotessustainable development during global integration.

During the event, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico will hold anexhibition of photographs, books, newspapers and films about Vietnamand its people, culture and the achievements the country has madeduring its renewal.

This year’s event isexpected to draw over 1.5 million visitors and generate nearly 65million USD in revenue, a large increase on last year’s figure.-VNA

2025 Vietnam Culture Festival held in Osaka

Visitors enjoy Thai environment, lifestyle at Hanoi festival

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.

Book week in Hanoi invites children to the wonderland of British tales
