The two sides exchanged views on regional andinternational issues of mutual interest and highly spoke of the strong andsustainable growth and the effectiveness of the Vietnam-India ComprehensiveStrategic Partnership.
They discussed policies and measures to reinforce the bilateralrelations in the future, while emphasising practical moves made by the twocountries to show support for each other amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maj. Gen. Quyet said the Vietnam – India relations havegrown constantly despite impacts of COVID-19, with security-defence remainingone of the pillars of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The webinar provides the two sides a chance to find waysto boost the bilateral defence cooperation, taking into account each nation’ssituation, he said.
Ahluwalia, for his part, hailed the Government of Vietnam’smeasures to contain the spread of the coronavirus, with the major contributionfrom the Vietnam People’s Army. He voiced his belief that the two countries’defence ties will continue to expand in the coming time./.
