National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son assured Chairwoman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Committee IX, Ribka Tjiptaning, of his agency’s full support for the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Vietnamese National Assembly would do its best to raise the relationship between the two countries to the strategic partnership, he told Ribka, whose committee oversees population, health, human resources and migration issues.

Son expressed expectation for more regular exchange of visits and further assistance between the two legislative bodies and their agencies in an effort to contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries in both bilateral and multi-lateral basis.

Vietnam looked forwards to Indonesia ’s further support and assistance during its terms of presidency of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in 2010, of which Indonesia is also a member, concluded the Vice Chairman of Vietnam’s top legislative body.

Ribka shared his view, saying her six-day visit from July 5 aimed at strengthening traditional relations between the two countries and the two legislative bodies.
