The Vietnam International Agricultural Trade Fair 2022 opened in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on November 2, featuring nearly 250 booths of 100 enterprises across the country.

Can Tho (VNA) - The Vietnam International Agricultural Trade Fair 2022 opened in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on November 2, featuring nearly 250 booths of 100 enterprises across the country. 

The event also attracted businesses of Cambodia, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, the Republicof Korea, and China.

On displayare products for agricultural production, including production and processinglines, agricultural materials,fertilisers, and pesticides, besides technologies for hi-tech agriculture and post-harvestpreservation techniques.

Within the framework of the event, a series of activities including an agriculturetechmart, a symposium on applying technologies for developing sustainable urbanagriculture, and workshops on digital transformation and developing science andtechnology information and innovation in agriculture will be arranged.

A product traceability management system applying digital technology platform fordigital transformation in agriculture was lauched at the opening ceremony.  

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Viet Truong highlightedthe significance of the event to Vietnam’s agriculture sector and the MekongDelta region, saying that this is an important trade promotion activity to populariseachievements in agricultural development, creating opportunities to promote connectionamong businesses and localities, and international cooperation.

The fair will last until November 6./.

Fuel taxes cut to 0% from April 16

Accordingly, the environmental protection tax on petrol (excluding ethanol), diesel, kerosene, mazut, and aviation fuel has been cut to 0 VND per litre. These products are also exempt from VAT declaration and payment, while still eligible for input VAT credit.
