A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of the Central Highlands Kon Tum province is on a working visit to Laos , from December 19-25.

On December 22, the Kon Tum VFF delegation was received by President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee Phandouangchit Vongsa.

The LFNC leader spoke highly of the visit, considering it a vivid manifestation of cooperation between the two countries’ local Fatherland Front chapters towards great celebrations in 2012 – the Year of Vietnam-Lao Friendship and Solidarity.

He expressed his wish that front organisations of provinces sharing the borderline, especially those in the Development Triangle, will strengthen cooperation in helping border residents understand more about the Vietnam-Laos special relationship, to build a stable and developed border between the two countries.

Tran Binh Trong, member of the Kon Tum provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, briefed the host about the results of cooperative programmes between VFF Kon Tum and LFNC Xekong and Attapeu, in which the two sides have promoted exchange activities between bordering localities in order to build a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and development./.
