Vientiane (VNA) - The sixth theoretical workshop between the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) wrappedup in Vientiane, Laos, on July 25.

At the two-day event, scientists and delegates from both sides delivered and discussedreports on key issues of the ideological work in the current situation inVietnam and Laos.

The reports focused on decisive elements to the ideological work in eachcountry and analysised realities and solutions.

Participants agreed that over the past 30 years of implementing theircomprehensive renewal policy, Vietnam and Laos have obtained greatachievements, which proved the rightness and creativeness of the renewal policyof the two Parties. Economic development is a central task and Party buildingis a key task while the development of culture and human resources is the spiritualfoundation and ensuring security-defence is a vital and regular task.

They stressed on realities that require the two Parties and countries tocontinue studying, supplementing and completing theories to strengthen and consolidatethe ideological work in the current situation in Vietnam and Laos.

Studies presented at the workshops are expected to help Vietnamese and Laotheoretical research agencies improve the quality and effectiveness of their consultingwork, thus contributing to successfully implementing Party congress resolutionsof each country as well as national reform in Vietnam and Laos.-VNA
