The Vietnamese Government will create favourable conditions for foreign investors, especially those from Japan , stated President Truong Tan Sang.
President Sang made the commitment at a Dec. 23 meeting with Japan-Vietnam Special Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro, who comes to explore investment environment in Vietnam .
The state leader spoke highly of the visit by the ambassador and Japanese businesses. He acknowledged contributions of the ambassador to the two countries’ relations, especially in economic and trade cooperation.
Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro underlined the enthusiastic support from the State and people of Vietnam while working with Vietnamese branches, agencies and localities over the past 20 years.
The ambassador said he wants to explore investment environment for the implementation of a large-scale project on ecological urban areas in Hanoi ’s suburb funded by Japanese businesses.
He expressed his belief that the project will help Hanoi deal with difficulties in infrastructure and meet housing demands while contributing to improving architectural landscape for the inner city.
Ryotaro used the occasion to ask the Vietnamese side to create favourable conditions for Japanese investors to make fact-finding study for the project.
President Sang expressed his belief that the ambassador’s ideas and hope will be received and supported by the Hanoi municipal authorities.
Later on the day, the ambassador was received by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Deputy PM Phuc expressed his hope that the ambassador will continue supporting the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
In reply, Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro commited to continue building and enhancing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan./.
