Hanoi (VNA) – The defence partnershipbetween Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) has reaped positive outcomesover the past time, contributing to peace, stability and development in theregion and beyond.

Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director ofthe General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People's Army, made theremarks at a reception for Major General Ji Young Quan, chief of staff at theRoK’s Defence Security Command, in Hanoi on March 20.

Hailing the coordination between the Vietnameseand Korean defence security agencies, Van suggested the two sides ink aMemorandum of Understanding as a foundation for the effective implementation ofcooperation commitments to deepen the bilateral defence ties.

Major General Ji Young Quan expressed hispleasure with the growing collaboration between the two countries and affirmedto coordinate with the Vietnam People’s Army’s security agency in strengtheningbilateral cooperation in the time ahead.-VNA

Belarusian President hosts welcome ceremony for Vietnamese Party chief in Minsk

The state visit to Belarus by Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse, and the high-level Vietnamese delegation marks a new impetus for strengthening and expanding bilateral ties. It is expected to help deepen the already strong relationship, enhance the effectiveness of existing mechanisms, and establish new ones, aiming for more regular, substantive, and effective cooperation in the years to come.

NA endorses 10% preferential tax rate for all press agencies

To affirm the Party and State’s commitment to supporting the press, the NA Standing Committee has adopted the government’s proposal to apply a uniform preferential corporate tax rate of 10% to all types of press. This move aligns with the current tax incentives for print newspapers.
