Vietnam, Tanzania boost friendship traditional ties

Dodoma (VNA) – A Vietnamese Party delegation attended the 10th Congress of Tanzania's Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) -Party of the Revolution - in Dodoma, Tanzania's capital, from December 6 to 9 at the invitation of the ruling party.

The delegation was led by Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee and deputy head of its Commission for Information and Education, and Minister of Information and Communications.

Speaking at the congress, Hung congratulated Tanzania on its achievements recorded under the leadership of the CCM Party in recent years.

He briefed participants on Vietnam's achievements after 35 years of Doi Moi (Renewal), affirming that the country attaches great importance to the traditional and friendly relations between the two Parties and countries, and hopes to strengthen them.

At the meeting with the CCM Party chairwoman President Samia Suluhu Hassan, he conveyed the congratulatory message of the Party Central Committee and the letter of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the President of Tanzania.

The Tanzania leader said she will send Vice Chairman of the Party Abdulrahman Kinana to lead the CCM's delegation to visit Vietnam to share experiences on party development and national development, at the invitation of the Vietnamese Party leader.

On this occasion, the delegation had a working session with Tanzania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in East Africa Stergomena Lawrence, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Nape Moses Nnauye./.
