Vietnam will work closely with Malaysia in the hunt for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, Foreign Ministry spokesman Luong Hai Binh has said.
Binh made the statement when answering reporters’ queries on Vietnam’s next steps to find the missing jetliner at a regular press conference in Hanoi on March 13.
The close coordination with the Malaysian side aims to identify the site of the plane, as well as the progress and process of the operation, he said.
Over the past few days Vietnam has proactively taken its responsive plans and swiftly coordinated its search and rescue methods with concerned sides in the efforts, the spokesman added.
According to Binh, the country has established a command office at the Phu Quoc International Airport in the southern province of Kien Giang to instruct the operation.
