The news was announced by the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs at a press conference on April 24.
This is the first time the CPV, as a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee, will host the event.
The event is expected to attract the participation of 135 delegationsfrom Asian countries’ ruling and political parties, and regional andinternational guests and observers.
ICAPP includes340 member parties from 35 countries. The forum aims to promoteexchanges and cooperation between political parties from differentcountries with various ideologies, strengthen mutual understanding andtrust among Asian countries, and foster regional and international peaceand prosperity.
Working as the operating body ofICAPP, the ICAPP Standing Committee, with 22 member parties, will holdits meeting annually.
The CPV has been an ICAPP member since the conference was launched in 2000.
The Party was voted to the Standing Committee in the 3 rd ICAPPGeneral Assembly in 2004, and has held its position ever since.-vna
