Lt. Gen. Phi, who is Deputy Chief of the GeneralStaff of the Vietnam People’s Army made the statement while receivingvisiting Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy Valerii TeziyovychPyatnytskyi in Hanoi on Dec. 24.

The Vietnamese army and peoplealways attach importance to developing the friendly cooperation with theUkrainian army and people, said Lt. Gen. Phi.

Pyatnytskyi, whois head of the Ukrainian Sub-committee of the Vietnam-UkraineInter-Governmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific andTechnological Cooperation, informed Lt. Gen. Phi of the results of thecommittee’s 11th session.

He said that the delegation’s workingvisit is a good opportunity for the committee to share experiences andseek cooperation opportunities to boost the two countries’ ties./.
