Speaking at the openingceremony on September 4, Ambassador Duong Chi Dung said he is pleasedand proud to see various Vietnamese art forms introduced and displayedat France’s prestigious culture addresses such as the nationalinstitute for art history and the museums of Quai Branly and Guimet.

The workshop creates an opportunity for participants to discuss thespecial features of Vietnamese art as well as how the country has workedto preserve and promote artistic values, contributing to thediversification of the world culture.

President ofthe French Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Xavier Darcossaid the event is meaningful for the locals to get a glimpse intoVietnam’s cultural knowledge heritage.

The seminaris part of the Vietnam Year in France, which aims to celebrate the40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Similar workshops in combination with a lacquer painting exhibitionand documentaries screening will be held until September 6.-VNA

Visitors enjoy Thai environment, lifestyle at Hanoi festival

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.
