Reference exchange rate down 6 VND on May 6

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,938 VND/USD on May 6, down 6 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,938 VND/USD on May 6, down 6 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,185 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,691 VND/USD.

At 8:15 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw declines.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,775 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,135 VND/USD, both down 55 VND.

BIDV also cut both rates by 50 VND, posting the buying rate at 25,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,130 VND/USD./.
