Nguyen Phuong Khanh has been crowned Miss Earth 2018. She’s the first woman from Viet Nam to win the prize since the pageant began in 2001.

Khanh, 23, was born in the southern province of Bến Tre and is currently pursuing a degree in marketing at Curtin University, Singapore.

Earlier in the beauty pageant, Khanh won a gold medal for Asia & Oceania region, a gold medal in the national costume round and a silver medal in the swimsuit round.

As an annual international environmental-themed beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness, Miss Earth is one of the most prestigious beauty contests in the world, together with Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International.

In another developments, Loan Vuong , a flight attendant was crowned Mrs International 2018 in the finale of the competition in Singapore.

Loan Vuong, a 32-year-old flight attendant of Vietnam Airlines, was named the winner of the beauty pageant which had the participation of over 30 belles from all over the world.

The flight attendant claimed two other titles: Mrs Tourism Ambassador and Beautiful Body.

The first and second runner-up titles went to beauties from Switzerland and Nepal.-VNA
