Vietnamese course for Cambodian officials ends

The second phase of a Vietnamese language course for Cambodian Senate officials has ended successfully with 24 members receiving the course accomplishment certificate.

The second phase of a Vietnamese language course for Cambodian Senateofficials has ended successfully with 24 members receiving the courseaccomplishment certificate.

The closing ceremony was held inPhnom Penh on April 5 with the participation of Vice SecretaryGeneral of the Cambodian Senate Lok Chhai and Vietnamese Chargéd’affaires to Cambodia Lai Xuan Chien.

The course was held within the cooperation framework between the Vietnamese National Assembly and Cambodian Senate.

At the ceremony, Lok Chhai said that the course was a symbol of mutualdetermination to enhance the partnership of the two law-making bodiesto meet the increasing cooperation demand between the people of Vietnamand Cambodia.

The classes create an opportunity forCambodian officials to follow postgraduate education in Vietnam ,help them research the Vietnamese language and become professionaltranslators, he added.

The Vietnamese language course, which lasted four months, was taught by lecturers from Hanoi University.-VNA
