The Vietnamese Embassy in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has attended a charity fair held by the Pyongyang International Women’s Association (PIWA) to raise funds for impoverished households in the host country.
Around 20 embassies and international organisations joined the event with their respective traditional goods and food. Proceeds from the fair will be used to operate charitable activities in the DPRK.
The Vietnamese Embassy’s booth showcased typical Vietnamese cultural products such as conical hats (non la), silk scarves and lacquer items as well as traditional dishes like spring rolls and coffee products.
After the event, the PIWA collected a total 5,680 EUR (6,377 USD), 625 EUR (702 USD) of which was donated by the Vietnamese Embassy.-VNA
