Vietnamese employees in RoK highly regarded

In the Republic of Korea, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the country's socio-economic development, accounting for over 99% of all businesses and creating 82.7% of total jobs. Vietnamese workers, who come to the country under the Employment Permit System, primarily work in these SMEs and are highly regarded for their strong vocational skills, diligence, and hard work.

The Korean company HTM, which employs seven Vietnamese workers, specialises in manufacturing automobile parts. The company's products are primarily exported and supplied to Hyundai Motors.

The number of Vietnamese workers going to the Republic of Korea increases rapidly every year, with Vietnam now among the top nations sending workers to the country, totaling around 66,000 workers. Many Vietnamese workers, after gaining knowledge, skills, and proficiency in Korean, return to Vietnam to start their own businesses.

In the future, Vietnam and the Republic of Korea will continue to expand their cooperation in training for highly specialised occupations with higher productivity and better income./.
