The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) wishes to further enhance its friendship and cooperation with Nicaragua’s Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) as well as ties between the two countries in the time ahead, a CPV Politburo member has said.
At a July 2 reception for the FSLN Politburo member and Deputy Secretary of the FSLN International Relations Department, Carlos Fonseca Teran, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh congratulated the Nicaragua’s Government for the achievements it has reaped under the leadership of the FSLN, particularly those in poverty reduction and socio-economic development.
He expressed his hope that Nicaraguan people will gain more success during the national construction and protection.
For his part, Carlos Fonseca Teran spoke highly of Vietnam’s progress and experience in boosting socio-economic development and improving its position in the regional and international arena.
The guest also informed Anh about outcomes of his talks with the head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan, voicing his pleasure at the development of the ties between the two parties and the two countries in general in the recent past, especially the implementation of a cooperation agreement signed by the two parties in 2013.-VNA
