Vietnam’s top player defeated Japan’s Kento Momota 21-17, 19-21, 21-15 after 80 minutes. In the next match, the world No.7 will face Ajay Jayaram of India who secured a place in the quarterfinals after a 21-13, 11-21, 21-18 win over Yuichi Ikeda of Japan.
The Japan Open bas a prize pool of 200,000 USD and will close on September 22./.
