Seoul (VNA) – Hundreds ofVietnamese workers across the Republic of Korea (RoK) participated in a foreignlabour festival in Seoul on September 8.
This is an annual activity co-organised by theRoK’s Ministry of Employment and Labour, and the Human Resources DevelopmentService of Korea, with the aim of enhancing exchanges and mutual understandingbetween overseas workers in the RoK, as well as supporting them with practicalservices relating to law, insurance, banking and health care.
Attending the festival were ambassadors from 16countries sending workers to the RoK along with over 3,000 labourers from thesenations.
The event featured pavilions introducing uniquecultures of participating countries.
The Vietnamese booth was splendidly decoratedwith national flags, palm-leaf conical hats, and traditional dress “ao dai” aswell as photos depicting cultural festivals, natural landscapes, and nationaldevelopment achievements in recent years.
At present, over 50,000 Vietnamese are workingin the RoK, forming the second biggest foreign labour community in the hostcountry, afterChina.-VNA
