The 2013 Vietnam-Japan Spring Festival will be held in Hanoi fromApril 20-21, as part of activities to celebrate the 40 th anniversaryof diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association (VJCA) VuKhac Lien announced the plan for the festival at a press conference inHanoi on April 12.
The event will highlightJapanese special cultural features such as tea ceremony, origami (paperfolding art), Hina dolls, Mikoshi (the traditional palanquin processionceremony) and traditional dances.
Thirty-six cuisine pavilions are set to introduce to visitors popular traditional food of the two countries.
The event will be jointly held by VJCA and the InternationalCooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports andTourism.-VNA
