The 2010 Vietnamese International Electrical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (Vietnam ETE 2010) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on August 26.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Nam Hai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said that Vietnam ETE 2010 would be an excellent opportunity to promote trade and exchange technologies, which will help to develop the country’s electrical industry and expansion into the international market.


The annual event is jointly held by Vietnam’s Electro-Technical Industry Association, the Electricity of Vietnam and the CIS Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Fair Joint Stock Company.


The event is also supported by the Korean Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA), the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chinese Electricity Council (CEC ) and the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA).


Over 300 stands from more than 150 domestic and international businesses are displaying technologies and equipment for thermal and nuclear power plants, solar and wind power and other alternative energies, as well as electrical transmission systems including transformers, meters, insulators, and other electrical tools.


As part of the event, seminars will also be held on Vietnam’s electrical equipment sector and the quality of electricity produced in Vietnam.
