Photos on Vietnam’s world heritages are on display at an exhibition that opened in the central city of Da Nang on Aug. 30 on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day.

The photos were selected from more than 2,000 entries at a photo contest on Vietnam ’s world heritages in 2011.

Vietnam heas tangible and intangible heritages recognised as world heritages by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

They include Ha Long Bay, Hue ancient capital, My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An ancient town, Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park and central sector of the imperial citadel of Thang Long-Hanoi, Hue royal court music, Central Highlands gong cultural space and ceremonial songs, Giong festival and Bac Ninh love duet singing.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the exhibition will be open in Da Nang through September 6. Similar exhibitions will be held in Hanoi from October 10-17 and later in other provinces and cities nationwide as well as several other countries./.
