Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Vietnam Trade PromotionAgency (Vietrade) and Amazon Global Selling announced their cooperation plan onApril 11, which aims to assist Vietnamese businesses in enhancing exports anddeveloping brand names through e-commerce.
Speakingat the announcement ceremony, Vietrade Director Vu Ba Phu said that afternegotiating, the two sides have decided to set up a long-term partnership with anarray of activities.
Accordingly,between now and 2021, they will join hands in programmes on global export andbrand name development via e-commerce, and e-commerce training for localenterprises.
Underthe global export programme, potential Vietnamese products will be marketed on theAmazon e-commerce sales platform.
Onthis occasion, Vietrade and Amazon Global Selling announced the first 100businesses selected to receive training and consultancy in selling theirproducts through Amazon in the US in this June.
Thesefirms will be guided through how to open accounts, complete export procedures, transportgoods, and promote their products on the platform.
Themost successful firms of the first batch will join a trade promotion delegationto the US in October, during which they will have the chance to participate inmany trade promotion activities and engage in exchanges with businesses frombig US cities. –VNA
