Vietravel wins world tourism awards

Vietnam’s tourist company Vietravel was presented the two titles of the leading tour operator and travel agency in Vietnam of the 20 th World Travel Awards (WTA) at a ceremony held in Dubai on October 1.

The travel agency will bealso awarded the Best Travel Agency for Asia prize of the 24 th TTGTravel Awards 2013 at a ceremony held in Bangkok on October 3.

This is the third consecutive year Vietravel has been honoured with the prestigious prize.

Initiatedin 1993, the WTA, considered the Oscar award of the tourism industry,is held annually to honour best services providers of the industryaround the world, while TTG Travel Awards, launched by TTG Asia magazinein 1989, is to vote the best travel agents and providers throughAsia.

Founded in 1974, TTG Asia is a leading travel magazine with 26 publications a year.-VNA
