Vinh Long (VNA) – The Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long and Cambodia’s Banteay Meancheay province will bolster their cooperation under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on January 16 for the 2025 – 2029 period.

The document also aims to promote the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between the two countries.

It outlines key areas of collaboration, with a particular focus on agriculture, trade, and tourism services, aligned with existing agreements between the two Governments. Both provinces have committed to creating favourable conditions for local enterprises to expand their operations and capitalise on economic potential through investment partnerships.

Besides, the agreement highlights educational cooperation, including knowledge exchange programmes for officials, women, youth, and students. It also affirms joint efforts in bolstering exchange and collaboration to make contributions to the development in each side as well as the Vietnam – Cambodia traditional friendship.
