VN aids its countrymen after Moscow market closure

This was agreed to at a meeting chaired by Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh in Moscow on July 23 to seek urgent supportive measures for Vietnamese traders in Cherkyzovo market in Moscow after it closes.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy, the Vietnamese Business Association, the Vietnamese community and businesses, and trade centres in Moscow and other big cities in Russia .

The participants called on the traders to unite and assist each other to overcome the hardships they are facing, and seek other new opportunities for business in Moscow and other localities across Russia , so as to continue leading their lives in a stable manner.

They also called on the Vietnamese Business Association and businesses themselves to coordinate in identifying and executing business and production models in conformity with the Russian law, to generate more jobs for traders.

The business community was also asked to help the traders complete the necessary procedures to gain legal residence status in line with Russia ’s law to enable them to stabilise their lives and livelihood there.

At the meeting, the participants asked the International Trade Centre to give priority to Vietnamese traders to move their goods out of Cherkyzovo market and urged the Vietnamese business community to lend a helping hand in the effort./.
