The Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training has honoured the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MGTUGA) and the university’s Rector in recognition of substantial contributions to Vietnam ’s education cause.

On behalf of Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh handed over the insignia “For the cause of Education” to Boris Eliseev, Rector of the MGTUGA and a certificate of merit to the university at a ceremony in Moscow on May 26.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Dinh congratulated the university staff on the occasion of its 40 th anniversary of establishment, stressing that Vietnam always acknowledges MGTUGA’s supports for the country in training cadres.

Over the past 60 years, the Soviet Union and Russia helped Vietnam train 52,000 engineers and experts in many specialities. Since 1993 until now, more than 100 Vietnamese students have attended courses in MGTUGA, Dinh said./.
