Vuvuzela fever is growing in Vietnam as local football fans look to get their hands on the World Cup's favourite instrument.

The crazy demand for the Vuvuzela can be seen on various websites which are trying to cope with the frantic demand that has seen many people offer large sums of money for the coveted horn.

At present, only a few vuvuzelas have appeared in Vietnam courtesy of travellers returning from South Africa and China, where most of the instruments are produced.

In HCM City, some people are paying 1.2 million VND (63 USD) for an instrument that costs from 2-10 USD in South Africa.

In Hanoi, the situation is slightly different as shop owners can order directly from Chinese producers and charge only 150,000-160,000 VND. However, they are not easy to find as stocks are limited as traders assess the demand for the product./.
