VN hosts ASEAN Friendship Games in RoK

The Vietnamese embassy in the Republic of Korea on April 26 hosted the ASEAN Friendship Games 2010 in the capital city of Seoul.

The event featured the table tennis, badminton and basketballcompetition, drawing the participation of representatives from the ASEANmember countries, ASEAN-Rok Centre and officials of the Rok Ministry ofForeign Affairs and Trade.

Besides the sports activities, the participants also had chance toenjoy the traditional specialities of the ASEAN countries.

This annual event aims to increase the solidarity and mutualunderstanding among the ASEAN diplomats, strengthen the friendship andcooperation between the Rok and ASEAN countries, said Chairman of ASEANCommittee in the RokTran Trong Toan./.

Visitors enjoy Thai environment, lifestyle at Hanoi festival

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.
