VN ready to work with Australia in Securency case

Vietnam is ready to cooperate with the Australian side in the Securency case, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nguyen Phuong Nga said.

Atthe Foreign Ministry’s regular press conference on July 7, reportersraised a question about “The Age” of Australia ’s recent reporting ofthe case of Securency and Note Printing Australia, mentioning theinvolvement of a number of Vietnamese officials.

Nga saidVietnam was informed about the Australian side’s arrest of sixAustralian citizens for allegedly giving bribery to win banknote supplycontracts in some countries.

She affirmed that Vietnam is willingto work with Australia in investigating the case to make it clear andhandle it in line with Vietnam’s law./.
