A ground breaking ceremony of the Laos-Vietnam friendship school washeld in Luang Prabang ancient capital of Laos on Nov. 15.
Addressing the function, Deputy Minister of Education and TrainingTran Quang Quy said the school for Laos covers an area of nearly5,000 sq m and is a key project of the Vietnam-Laos friendship year2012.
The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam isthe owner of the project which has a total investment of more than 56billion VND.
On behalf of the local authorities, Mayor SomphengSaysompheng thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people fortheir support for the construction of many works in Luang Prabangprovince, helping reduce poverty and increase social security, thuscontributing to the provincial socio-economic development./.
