15th National Assembly to open 10th session on October 20

The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly (NA) will open in Hanoi on October 20.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly (NA) will open in Hanoi on October 20.

Over the past time, the NA Standing Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the NA General Secretary, the NA’s Ethnic Council, NA committees, NA delegations, the NA Office as well as related agencies and individuals, have been actively preparing the documents for the 10th session.

Before the opening ceremony at 7.15am, leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and NA deputies will lay a wreath to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum.

At 8am, the legislature will hold a preparatory meeting during which NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver a speech.

Additionally, member Le Quang Manh of the NA Standing Committee will present a report on explanations and revisions related to the draft agenda for the 10th session. Then, the NA will discuss and vote on the agenda.

At 9am the same day, the legislative body will hold the official opening session in the Dien Hong Hall at the NA House. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television (VTV1) and the Voice of Vietnam (VOV1)./.

10th session helps strengthen public trust in personnel work, NA’s supreme oversight

Personnel consolidation carried out at the NA's 10th session helps ensure continuous, unified, effective, and efficient leadership of the state apparatus; guarantee smooth and uninterrupted direction and governance; and prevent any leadership gaps in critical areas. All positions elected or approved by the legislature meet the key criteria required within the organisational structure.
