Hanoi (VNA) – Delegates to the 9th NationalCongress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) laid a wreath in tribute to PresidentHo Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on September 18 morning, before theopening session of the congress.
The delegation, led by President of the VFF Central Committee Tran ThanhMan, also paid respect to national heroes and fallen soldiers at the monumentin Bac Son Street.
The same day, the delegates are scheduled to attend the opening of anexhibition on the national solidarity bloc and the work of the VFF during the2014-2019 tenure at the National Conference Hall.
On the first working day, the congress is expected to approve the workingprogramme and working regulations of the congress, and a report reviewing the performanceof the VFF Central Committee, VFF Central Committee’s Presidium and the VFFCentral Committee’s standing board in the 8th tenure (2014-2019).
The 9th National Congress of the VFF will last untilSeptember 20./.
