– National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s ongoing official visit to Argentina is expected to open up more opportunities for bilateral trade cooperation in the coming time.
Over the past 50 years since Vietnam and Argentina officially established diplomatic relations in October 1973, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have been continuously consolidated and developed fruitfully.Read full text

- The 4th Global Conference of the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food System Programme (SFS Programme) opened in Hanoi on April 24, bringing together more than 300 delegates, of whom nearly 200 were foreigners.
In his remarks at the ministerial-level conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang briefed the participants on the national action plan on building a transparent, responsible and sustainable food and food stuff system by 2030, which is aimed at turning Vietnam into a transparent, responsible and sustainable food producer and supplier.Read full text

– Forty-seven overseas Vietnamese (OVs) from 22 countries around the world and 200 domestic delegates concluded a programme to visit people and soldiers in Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform on April 23.
According to Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, the trip was the 10th of its kind to be held for OVs by the Foreign Ministry's State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (SCOV), and the High Command of the Navy.Read full text

– The Vietnam Fisheries Society (VINAFIS) has voiced its objection to China’s unilateral fishing ban in the East Sea for 2023.
VINAFIS sent the objection document to the Government Office, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and Commission for Information and Education.Read full text

– The Ministry of Health (MoH) has warned health departments, and medical examination and treatment establishments of localities nationwide about 14 cough syrup products banned in some countries which have caused death or acute kidney damage for hundreds of children.
Previously, the ministry received a relevant warning from the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) that these products, produced in India and Indonesia, contain diethylene that can cause serious harm to health or death to users.Read full text

– Trade officials from Vietnam’s northern border province of Lao Cai and Honghe county of the neighbouring Chinese province of Yunnan visited the Mekong Delta province of Long An on April 23, seeking to form partnerships with local agricultural production, processing, and exporting companies.
The delegation from the Lao Cai Department of Industry and Trade and the Honghe commerce division made a fact-finding tour of some member businesses of the Long An Dragon Fruit Association in Chau Thanh district, a rice processing firm in Thu Thua district, and a lime processing company in Ben Luc district.Read full text

– The upcoming holidays of Hung Kings Commemoration Day, National Reunification and May Day from April 29 to May 3 are expected to be a good chance for transport enterprises to accelerate operations to better serve people’s increasing travel demand.
