Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency on May 19.
- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage arrived in Hanoi on May 19, successfully concluding their trip to the US to attend the ASEAN-US Special Summit, and to make visits to the US and the United Nations.
- Visiting Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore Tan Chuan-Jin received Chairman of the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Parliamentary Group Bui Van Cuong in Hanoi on May 19.
During the meeting, Tan briefed his visitors on the outcomes of his talks with Vietnamese NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. Read full story
- The Vietnam Blockchain Summit 2022 will take place at the National Conference Centre of Vietnam in Hanoi on July 21-22.
The event will bring together more than 2,500 delegates from management units, enterprises, investment funds, domestic and international organisations and individuals. Read full story
- The Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) under the United States Department of Agriculture has recognised six more Vietnamese pangasius processing factories that are eligible to export products to the US, raising the number of establishments to 19, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD).
It is expected to boost the export of Vietnamese pangasius to the US market in the near future.Read full story
- The 14th Vietnam Festival is scheduled to take place at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Japan, from June 4-5.
The information was revealed by Aoyagi Yoichiro, member of Japan’s House of Representatives and head of the festival managing board, at a press conference in Tokyo on May 18. Read full story
