Singapore (VNA) – The Liaison Committee of the Vietnamese Community in Singapore (VNAS) on March 15 organised an event at the Singapore-based Google office to offer Vietnamese children, aged 8-16, the opportunity to engage in activities related to artificial intelligence (AI) and internet safety.
This event marked the first in a series of science and technology programmes designed for young Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Singaporeans in Singapore, aiming to equip them with knowledge about modern technology and essential digital skills for the new era.
During the event, the youth participants shared their experience with AI application through presentations. They also listened to experts discussing the use of AI in daily life, identifying potential risks, and protecting them from online threats. In addition, they took part in interactive games.

According to the organiser, the series of activities is designed to help young people access advanced scientific and technological fields, connect with leading experts, and explore practical applications. The programme also encouraged participants to develop creative thinking, enhance their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) skills, and build a solid foundation for their future careers.
The programme aimed to create a diverse, career-oriented ecosystem, helping young people explore their potential and passions across various fields. With the vibrant community of Vietnamese intellectuals in Singapore working in science and technology, such events are expected to inspire, nurture passion, and provide opportunities for career connections, ultimately contributing to the development of a strong and cohesive community./.
