(Photo: VNA) PhnomPenh (VNA) – The Military Command of Vietnam’s Central Highlandsprovince of Dak Nong and the military sub-region of Cambodia’s Mondulkiriprovince held talks on December 6 to review their cooperation in 2019 and putforth joint activities in the time ahead.
Duringthe talks in Mondulkiri, the two sides looked into partnerships in such spheresas information exchange, border management, border demarcation and markerplanting, and support to residents.
Participantsshared the views that regular visits, meetings and experience exchanges betweenarmed forces have contributed to tightening the traditional solidarity andfriendship between Vietnam and Cambodia, preserving national sovereignty andborder security, and preventing cross-border crimes.
Thetwo sides signed the fourth memorandum of understanding, under which theyagreed to continue with the communication work in order to help people andarmed forces of the provinces understand more about cooperation policies aswell as traditional solidarity and friendship and mutual support./.
