Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Cambodian Ministry of Health on November 17 issued a decision on the facilitation of travel conditions and the implementation of health measures for travellers entering the nation.

Accordingly, fully vaccinated visitors, after receiving a negative COVID-19 test result, are not required to quarantine and can travel freely throughout Cambodia.

In the event of a positive COVID-19 test result, the patient may be referred for treatment or referred to a facility authorised by the ministry.

The same day, Cambodia held a ceremony to receive two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China, with Prime Minister Hun Sen expressing his hope for China to open a COVID-19 vaccine production centre in the nation.

As of November 16, Cambodia had vaccinated 14 million people and foreigners from over five years old, or almost 88 percent of the population./.
