Southern Kien Giang province is doing its best to facilitate travel ofpeople from its neighbouring Cambodian localities into the localityduring the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday as part of efforts to strengthensolidarity and friendship between the two nations.
Public security are ensured and favourable legal procedures are offeredto people from Kampot, Kep, Preah Shihanouk, Koh Kong and Phnom Penh sothey can enter Kien Giang province’s border districts and towns toenjoy Vietnam’s biggest traditional festival.
Vehicles are also allowed to cross the border through Ha Tien and Giang Thanh international border gates.
The People’s Committee of Ha Tien town has decorated streets withcolourful flowers and intensified public security to welcome Cambodianguests.-VNA
