Hanoi (VNA) - Construction on Vietnam's the largest data centre,owned by FPT Telecom, has started at the Hi-Tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City.

The data centre covers an area of 10,000 square metres and is expected to becompleted by the first quarter of next year.

Once completed, FPT Telecom will provide large and modern data storageinfrastructure with high security level to thousands of domestic and foreignenterprises and organisations.

Digital transformation has been occurring not only in Vietnam but also aroundthe world, said Hoang Nam Tien, Chairman of FPT Telecom.

The need to bring systems and applications onto the cloud is rising, he noted.

"Therefore, we needed to have big data centres with high standards,ensuring security for systems and be able to compete with "bigcompanies" such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon," he added.
A strong cloud platform is the basic infrastructure for digitaltransformation of businesses and economies./.

Two wanted for abusing religious cover to undermine national unity policy

The fugitives are Di (also known as Siu Di), born in 1941, and Dinh Yum (also known as Dinh Jum or Ba Koih), born in 1963, from Ba Na ethnic minority group in Gia Lai province, and hold Vietnamese nationality. They have been charged under Clause 1, Article 116 of the Penal Code for undermining the national unity policy.

Support delivered to Khmer households for traditional New Year
