Czech province delegation in HCM City for boosting ties

Governor Vaclav Slajs of the Czech Republic’s Pilsen region hoped his visit to Ho Chi Minh City will turn a new page in the ties between the two localities, which are both known for their dynamic growth.

The governor made the remark during a meeting with HCM City mayor LeHoang Quan on April 18, adding that his country always considers Vietnama priority cooperative partner, taking into consideration the closeties between the former Czechoslovakia and Vietnam.

Concurring with his guest, Chairman of the HCM City People’s CommitteeLe Hoang Quan said the southern hub has long provided favourableconditions for Czech nationals and business community to live and workin the city.

Quan declared that HCM City wishes tostrengthen the ties with Pilsen, contributing to cementing the long-termdiplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, whichmarks its 65th anniversary this year.-VNA

Pathways to double-digit growth to be tabled at 16th NA’s first session

In the morning sitting on April 20, deputies are expected to hear proposals and verification reports on a range of draft resolutions. The documents cover breakthrough mechanisms and policies for the development of Vietnamese culture; the establishment of Dong Nai as a centrally run city; a pilot framework for public lawyer institution; and special mechanisms to address land law violations committed prior to the 2024 Land Law taking effect, alongside measures to resolve long-delayed and stalled projects.
